A gift that reaches the world

Benedictine education is the education of the whole person. We fund that work where it needs funding most.

What your support makes possible

Boarding House
A safe bed

Long journeys and travel safety are top concerns for families considering sending their children to school in rural areas. With your support, a school in north-east India built a new boarding house, and 50 girls now have access to quality education.

A real science lesson

Many rural schools can teach science only from textbooks because they do not have the equipment for practical experiments. With your support, a Benedictine secondary school in Guatemala now has laboratory equipment, giving students the chance to learn science by doing it.

Ndana School of Nursing
Nurse training

In Tanzania, Benedictine sisters run a nursing school in a district that needs trained health workers. With your support, their students now have the computers they need for training, study and preparation for work in healthcare.

St Benet's Scholarship
Expanding Access

The St Benet’s Scholarship supports pupils from selected state sixth forms who receive offers from the University of Oxford. With your support, a student can take up a place they have earned, while carrying forward the legacy of St Benet’s Hall.

Supporting Benedictine education in community

The Foundation exists to support Benedictine education in the UK and around the world.

We fund practical projects that help schools, students and communities flourish: bursaries, libraries, laboratories, boarding provision, pastoral programmes, chapels, clean water, outreach and access to education.

We work through Benedictine schools and communities we know which means we can support needs that are often too specific or too local for larger funders to reach. We are small, trustee-led and close to the people asking for help, so modest gifts can be directed carefully and quickly to places where they matter.

We connect generosity with need across the Benedictine educational family.
